A meaningful Serê Salê event was organized in Diyarbakır in cooperation with Chalakevents and Mesopotamia Foundation, hosted by Laminör Kafe. Serê Salê, the traditional Kurdish New Year’s Eve celebration, turned into a warm gathering where art, music and social sharing were intertwined.
Artists and participants were on the same stage
The event was attended by well-known artists and actors such as Kerem Sevinç, Serdar Canan, Erdal Kaya, Reqso and Simyager. In addition to the stage performances, the event was given a different dimension by the free lectern that was left open to the audience throughout the night.
Participants took to the stage to sing songs, tell stories and express their feelings freely. This open platform was the scene of special moments that strengthened the community’s collective memory and cultural ties.
The spirit of Serê Salê continued until the end of the night
Throughout the event, which lasted until late into the night, laughter, songs and heartfelt conversations were experienced in the spirit of Serê Salê. This celebration demonstrated both the meeting of traditional values with modern life and Diyarbakır’s vibrant cultural scene.
