Son Son Cemal Son: A lament rising from a mother’s heart
April 23, 2025How and when did the Kurds come to Central Anatolia?
The presence of Kurds in Central Anatolia has often been ignored, their historical context has not been the subject of research or has been dealt with superficially.
However, this region is an important geography where Kurds settled due to forced migrations, settlement policies and economic reasons that took place centuries ago.
This situation also explains why a Kurd who says he is from Central Anatolia is still considered “strange”.
Şoperêç investigates the answer to this question
“Who are the Kurds of Central Anatolia, when did they come and how did they settle here?”
Unlike the superficial studies that have been conducted so far, we listened to the answer to this question directly from the names that carry the memory of that region.
In this context, we met with the writers of Bîrnebûn magazine:
🎤 Fikret Yıldız (Dr. Mîkailî)
🎤 Nuh Ateş
🎤 Muzaffer Özgür
… With their narratives, we brought the historical migration process, tribal structures, cultural transformations and identity struggles of the Central Anatolian Kurds to the Şoperêç screen.
