23.04.2025One of those living in the train station is the Syrian Kurdish refugee Sido family.
The family, who migrated from Aleppo, Syria to Turkey 11 years ago, have been living in the Fatih Neighborhood of the Bağlar district of Diyarbakır since then.
However, the massive earthquake that occurred on February 6, 2023 turned the lives of the Sido family upside down once again.
The family, who were evacuated due to the severe damage to the building they lived in during the earthquake, were forced to take shelter in the train station wagons this time.
The family, who said, “We fled the war, we lived here for 11 years. Now we have lost our home because of the earthquake,” said that the housing problem has caused a major trauma in their lives for the second time.
